F4

My newest drama addiction, Boys over Flowers (K-version)...
I never really liked watching soap because I found it too dramatic & fake. The first ever Asian drama I watched is Meteor Garden and, almost immediately, I was already swooning over Dau Ming Zsu & Hua Si Lei. It doesn't matter if I strained my eyes overnight reading those English subs just to watch at least 5 episodes (& still craving for more, only if there wasn't any work the next day XD). By the way, I still couldn't stand watching any dubbed dramas.
Anyways, that started the trend for me. Every now & then, I get to watch a lot of other top-rated Asian dramas (most often, friends' highly recommended dramas only) from Taiwan, Japan & Korea. (My faves, so far, are still MNG, FTLY, FH & Princess Hours.)
Well, when the Hana Yori Dango (Japanese) came, I then realized that the original F4 was created by a Japanese manga artist (Yoko). I really loved it (it even created more series than its Taiwanese version although the first F4 still does concerts & popular in Taiwan/China). I thought Jun Matsumoto has real curly hair until I saw Lee Min Ho donning the same permed hair. I researched and found out that the leader of F4 is really supposed to have curly hair...really funny :) but it really fits LMH more.
I still find Jerry Yan the most handsome of all the leaders but as F4 as a whole ( so far) the Korean version for me is the best. Yoko even mentioned that these actors match her manga characters the best, as if they came out of the comicbook. The Korean storyline was also made better (with few modifications from the Jap version only).
Amongst the F4, I've always been drawn to the character of Rui Hanazawa (Vic Zhou/Oguri Shun/Kim Hyung Joong) because of his romantic, sensitive & shy nature. So far, KHJ is the cutest! (Well, MinHo is cute also XD...)
It's been a long time since I last watched a Korean drama and I'm glad I discovered BOF! Still craving for more....

Heart & Birthday

i promised myself to write at least once a month...

every year, valentine's day is supposed to be extra special for me. well, everybody thinks that having a valentine birthday makes one special but it really has an opposite effect on me. ironically, born on hearts day brings me no luck in love at all. i'm not really complaining but sometimes people think that one is lucky to born on this day. they are so much happy for me and although in front of them, my mask is of immense joy, deep inside i know there's a lesser sense of elation.

every year, close family & friends have been my constant dinner guests. i feel honored that most of them are happy to celebrate their hearts day with me. most of the time we dine at my home where we feel quite comfortable. once or twice we tried to go out to celebrate but with the flock of people going out during valentine's, going out had become traumatic for us. besides, seeing mostly sweet couples aren't just the right atmosphere for me to be in. (don't get me wrong, i am not depressed!)

anyways, i know that god will give me what i need, when i need it. now, i am definitely not rushing (not yet, at least :p). with work keeping me busy, i'd regret having one anyways.

with cupid's arrow striking,
i really wish happiness for everyone on this special valentine's day. cheers!

2009

Wow I can't believe I skipped a whole month before checking out my blogsite :D I'm so much happy this year, I bought all the presents I wanted to give out to my family & friends (oh, and I also hehehe) and was able to have a good 10-day vacation, wohoooo!!! I was able to go clubbing after soooo many months (hah, finally!) and went out-of-town for a little R&R with friends.

Looking back at 2008, it was really a better year for me. Coming out from a long & horrible relationship during the last days of 2007, 2008 was the recovery year. I really devoted my time between family & work (well, I spent about 14 hours at work on an average *sigh*) and as the saying goes, "you reap what you sow". By the end of the year, my boss was really appreciative and gave me much encouragement to show the same hard work that me & my team have been providing the company in the years to come. He wanted me to build an even bigger team by this year. My smile would've tore my lips apart but as a lady, I kept my composure (wehehe). Anyways, I do love my work so he doesn't have to worry about anything there :) 2008 also has given me friends I couldn't even imagine. I really couldn't ask for more except blessings for my family including good health for everyone.

So who's on for new year's resolutions??? When I was a teen, I used to make up resolutions and, most often than not, I forget them after a few weeks! You can just imagine every year I am going on a DIET!!! Never works, really!!! Hahaha...So then, I realized that it doesn't really matter if it's a new year or not. We can make resolutions anytime :) And we can make it work anytime as well. Perseverance will be its company!

Kidding aside, (I'm going to be like a Ms. Universe here) I really wish the best for everyone in 2009.  With the economy still expected to worsen this year, I hope that a lot of people would be able to retain their jobs and may we all be prosperous. And then the usual, no more poverty and PEACE!!!!

I'm out....
